£55,000 – £65,000 + Package

Our client is a well-established and respected main contractor operating across the North West of England. They deliver a broad range of construction projects, including commercial builds, residential developments, refurbishments, and public sector works.

Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to the continued success of the business.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of construction projects from pre-contract through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are commercially successful and delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare cost estimates, tender returns, and contract documentation

* Carry out valuations and manage variations and change control

* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

* Negotiate and manage subcontractor packages

* Attend site meetings and liaise with site teams and clients

* Manage interim payments and final accounts

* Ensure compliance with contracts and commercial procedures

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

* Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract

* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

* Strong analytical and financial reporting abilities

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software

* Full UK driving licence

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (or similar)

Desirable:

* Experience across a range of project types (commercial, residential, public sector)

* Professional membership (RICS or similar) preferred but not essential
