Land Manager

We are working with a 5* Housebuilder based in kent who are looking to add a Land Manager to their team due to growth.

To effectively be responsible for land search opportunities and acquisitions of sites for residential development for the business.

To promote and reinforce positive company values to both internal members of staff and to external customers/consultants at all times.

Day to Day Activities:

* To have a good knowledge of the land market in the operating areas of the company and be able to identify opportunities and to deal thoroughly with feasibility/market research studies of the area in question.

* To have a sound working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and be able to produce cost appraisals and plot analysis to achieve the Company’s budgetary requirements.

* To have a good knowledge of planning strategy. To be able to negotiate with public and private sector to cover all aspects of investigations leading up to the acquisition of suitable sites.

* To establish and maintain a network of contacts with Agents, Local Authorities and Utility companies to enable you to effectively fulfil the role.

* To liaise with outside consultants (ie architects, engineers, planners etc.) to be able to produce viable schemes within the corporate parameters required to achieve a feasible planning consent.

* To brief solicitors and progress matters diligently through the contract, advising on Report on Title, Transfer and Legal Agreements.

* To achieve the Region’s Land requirements in line with Agreed Policy on growth and sustainability.

* In conjunction with the Planning & Technical Manager, review developments periodically to understand company product to give consideration to future phases/developments to ensure that sales potential maximised.
