Project Manager – Defence Infrastructure Projects

£71,000 – £75,000 + Car/Car Allowance Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Project Manager to join a high-performing delivery team working across a range of Defence sector construction projects.
Based on a secure site in Buckinghamshire, the successful candidate will take full ownership of projects throughout their life cycle — from scoping and design through to handover.
This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented, delivery-focused professional with strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
Role Overview:
* Lead construction projects involving both new builds and listed buildings
* Manage full project lifecycles, including design, procurement, construction and closeout
* Work closely with the supply chain and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery to programme and budget
* Report project status, risks and opportunities to senior management and clients
* Coordinate stakeholder meetings and present progress updates to clients and end users
* Develop scopes of work and manage through RIBA phases (0–7)
* Ensure project governance and compliance is adhered to throughout the lifecycle
Candidate Profile:
* Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance, or one lapsed within the last 6 months
* Sole UK national, with willingness to undertake further clearance
* Proven background in construction, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering project management
* Holds a CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification
* Strong understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, designers, and military personnel
* High levels of commercial awareness and experience managing subcontractor performance
* Demonstrated ability to lead multiple workstreams and meet critical project deadlines
