Site Engineer

The Company
A Lancashire-based Civil Engineering contractor has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a range of civil and new road improvement projects across the Oldham and Rochdale borough.
The Role
You will be working on 278 Works / Public Realm / Paving / Earthworks / New Road Construction / Road Surfacing / Road Junctions / Round About / Drainage / Externals / Landscaping.
* Working alongside an existing management team, Project Manager and Site managers.
* Setting Out for all the above works.
* All associated paperwork / Record Keeping / QA Sub-contract.
* Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
* Prepare and manage setting out data, records, and QA documentation.
* Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Monitor site progress and provide technical support as needed.
What We’re Looking For
As a Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on highways and public realm schemes to be considered for this vacancy.
* Civil Engineering/Construction Management Qualification e.g. HNC/HND/Degree level.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
* Proven experience working setting out on 278 works, Earthworks, New Road Construction, Road Junctions, Drainage, Concreting, Landscaping.
* Strong understanding of site safety, quality control, and programme management.
* Self-motivated with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to use initiative to identify and solve problems.
* Excellent planning and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
