Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, responsible for the financial and contractual management of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) packages within high-end fit-out projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional with experience in the luxury interiors sector, looking to take on more responsibility and contribute to the success of prestigious projects. You will lead a range of tasks, manage budgets, costs, and commercial aspects of M&E projects, and mentor junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation and management of cost plans, budgets, and estimates for M&E works
• Oversee the procurement and management of M&E subcontractor and supplier packages
• Take ownership of valuations, progress claims, and cost reporting
• Monitor project costs, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and cost control
• Identify and manage variations, risks, and implement cost-effective solutions for M&E services
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and delivery
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, industry standards, and company procedures
• Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise
Requirements
• Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in M&E or fit-out projects, with a strong background in quantity surveying principles
• Proven commercial awareness, excellent analytical skills, and a strategic approach to problem-solving
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a senior team
• Deep knowledge of building services systems, M&E installations, and relevant contracts
• Proactive with a strong desire to lead and influence the quantity surveying profession
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
