Senior Engineer – Piling
Dewey Group is currently seeking experienced Senior Engineers with a strong background in piling to join a major infrastructure project in South-West. This is a high-profile development that plays a crucial role in the UK’s energy future, offering skilled engineers a rare opportunity to contribute to complex and technically demanding piling works.
We are seeking guys for multiple positions and are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in rotary or rotary and driven techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the planning and execution of piling operations across multiple project phases.
* Coordinate with Project Managers, Supervisors, and operational teams to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
* Conduct technical reviews of piling methodologies, site conditions, and equipment selection.
* Monitor quality assurance and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and procedures.
* Produce and maintain accurate engineering records, daily reports, and progress documentation.
* Assist in resolving technical challenges during delivery and provide support to site teams as needed.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and third parties to ensure effective communication and problem-solving throughout project lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on large-scale piling or ground engineering projects.
* In-depth knowledge of rotary and/or rotary-driven piling techniques.
* Strong understanding of construction and geotechnical principles.
* Experience working on regulated infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
* Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Desirable:
* HNC/Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
* Competency in producing ITPs, RAMS, and technical site documentation.
* Familiarity with quality systems and digital field data platforms.
