Senior Quantity Surveyor – Heavy Civils

We're currently working in partnership with a highly respected Civil Engineering Contractor to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major heavy civils schemes across the Cambridge region.

What We're Looking For:
We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who can bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to commercial management. You'll need to have:

Proven experience in heavy civil engineering projects
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
Excellent numeracy and IT skills
The confidence to manage financial and contractual aspects across a range of project stages
The ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively at all levels
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of plans, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities
Identifying and managing project risks
Ongoing cost analysis and dispute resolution support
Feasibility studies and estimate preparation
Mentoring and support of Junior Staff
Analysis and negotiation of subcontractor quotations
Management of variations, valuations, and final accounts
Certifying payments for subcontractors
