The Client

Our client are an interior fit-out and refurbishment construction business with extensive experience of delivering commercial office refurbishments nationally. They are looking for a Senior MEP Manager to join their team.   

The Role of Senior MEP Manager

We are seeking a strategic and technically excellent MEP Manager to join our clients team in a new, senior role designed to spearhead the company's drive to enhance their approach to all aspects of MEP services. This role will focus on supporting our clients design strategy and philosophy, maximizing efficiency, reducing expenditure, and de-risking their projects through considered and well-managed services design and scoping.

As a key member of the Operations Team you will play a crucial role in the Operational Team, contributing to the performance and direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of MEP strategies that improve our clients  ability to win
Work closely with design, pre-construction, and supply chain teams to align strategies, designs, costs, and deliverables
Create efficient, high-performing solutions that meet client briefs while maximizing value
Elevate MEP services to the forefront of our thinking and design process
Maximize usage of existing retained systems and ensure design is in alignment with these systems
Manage the allocation and application of external consultants, in-house technical service managers, and supply chain partners
Ensure all projects have the necessary skillsets at all stages of delivery
Drive measurable success through increased project wins, lower MEP pro-rata expenditure, reduced client operational issues, and demonstrable reduction in on-site complexity through improved design

Requirements:

Proven track record in MEP management with specific focus on systems design
Experience working within the commercial interiors design & build industry highly desirable
Degree qualification preferred but not required if compensated by extensive relevant experience
Ideally with mechanical bias, but comprehensive knowledge of both mechanical and electrical services essential
Demonstrated capability to operate at a senior level
Strong team collaboration skills and ability to develop effective strategies and client proposals
Technical excellence in understanding and mitigating risks associated with services adaptation
