Our Client; a well-recognised and respected Materials Handling company who are among the world's largest suppliers of Automated Warehouse and Materials Handling solutions are now actively seeking an experienced Installation Contract Manager with expertise in supporting EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), perhaps even Civil Engineering, Automation, Installation or Oil & Gas contracts on initially a 6-month contract basis, with likelihood of extension at the end of this term.
Reporting to their Head of ITE EMEA, this critical role supports their internal EMEA functional customers within Installation, Solutions Development, Project Management, Project Controllers, and R&D. Your role will be to support and liaise with the installation and procurement functions in the correct administration of installation contracts across EMEA.
On offer to the successful applicant is a highly competitive day rate, inside IR35, that will see you set up from home, but with travel expected most likely ever two weeks or so that will be fully expensed.
Detailed duties and responsibilities will be:
Manage and administer contracts with key installation suppliers, which include master subcontract agreements for installation services (electrical, mechanical, pre-commissioning Installation labour, as well as full turnkey subcontractors, and material/rental providers).
Assist in the operation and execution of the contract strategy based on internal policies and business requirements considering risk, scope, pricing, etc.
Assist (as part of a team) in the negotiation and execution of full turnkey packages ranging from $1M – $20M, depending on the size of the project, ensuring the company protection with best risk-mitigated contracts.
Along with the Category Lead, installation and project teams create and maintain relationships with suppliers’ project and site teams concerning contracts, negotiations, change and claims management, to ensure all internal stakeholders are aware of issues and seek internal approvals.
Anticipate the needs of the supporting functions primarily installation teams to meet/exceed these expectations in a compliant manner.
Ensure timely and accurate supplier compliance with the commercial terms and conditions on assigned projects.
Communicate to stakeholders about all contract related matters.
Continuously monitor contracts during execution phase, with weekly supplier updates and close tracking of running costs, and over-runs. Be able to work with controllers and the finance community on claims per contractual obligations.
Cultivate and develop relationships with internal stakeholders as a trusted business partner.
Participate in project meetings as a support function on contract matters
Perform value analysis to identify and implement cost improvements.You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Should ideally be educated with a Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Business, although plenty of relevant experience might be considered.
Should be an experienced Installation Contract Manager who has supported relevant contractual activities in similar industries such as EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), perhaps even in Civil Engineering, Automation, Installation or Oil & Gas.
You will be a highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships.
Should have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
A knowledge of supplier networking and partnership development within a project environment is required here.
You will have a knowledge and strong utilization of Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated values of collaboration, integrity, courage and excellence is required.
Must be willing to travel to suppliers and/or other company locations as needed up to 25% of the time.It’s great if you also have the following:
Fluency in speaking/writing German would be ideal, if not in Italian, Spanish and/or French.This position is available with immediate effect.
