Document Controller – Oxford / Bicester / Reading

Avolon M&E are working with a client who have won a significant number of projects between the Oxford, Bicester and Reading areas.

They require an experienced Document Controller to be site-based within this area, working within newly-established regional teams.

Our client's average project size is £3–8m in value, with 6 to 9-month programme durations. Work is primarily fit outs.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience + package

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all documentation within the organisation for the relevant projects, ensuring that all records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. This role is crucial in supporting project teams by providing timely and organised documentation management, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and hard copy documents.

* Ensure all documents are reviewed, approved, and stored in accordance with company policies.

* Collaborate with project teams to gather and verify documentation requirements.

* Implement document control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

* Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

* Facilitate the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

* Assist in training staff on document control processes and systems.

* Manage version control of documents to ensure the latest revisions are accessible.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in document control or a similar administrative role is essential.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

* Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to documentation is an advantage.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
