Document Controller – Data Centre Construction – Berlin

Our client, a global leader in project delivery within the data centre and mission-critical sectors, is expanding its presence in Germany. As part of a major data centre development in Berlin, they are seeking a highly organised and tech-savvy Client-Side Document Controller to join the project team.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional experienced in managing digital project tools and document workflows on large-scale construction projects. The position offers a choice between a permanent or 12-month contract, with the opportunity to work on a high-profile project at the forefront of Europe’s data infrastructure growth.

Role Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain all project documentation using platforms such as BIM 360, SharePoint, ACC, and Aconex

* Set up and configure document control systems and workflows to support project delivery

* Ensure consistent document naming, version control, access rights, and archiving protocols

* Record, track, and distribute meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence

* Support project team and client stakeholders in using the CDE tools effectively

* Maintain audit trails and ensure full traceability of project information

* Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation

Candidate Profile:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Document Controller role on construction or engineering projects

* Strong working knowledge of BIM 360, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and/or Aconex

* Previous experience supporting client-side or Tier 1 construction delivery teams

* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and understanding of document control best practices

* Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial

* Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, with flexibility to attend on-site meetings when required
