About the Company:
Our client is a leading scaffolding contractor with a solid
reputation for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality access solutions
across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Due to continued
growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking a proactive and
experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible
for leading and maintaining all aspects of health, safety, and compliance
across multiple scaffolding projects in the West Midlands. You’ll play a key
role in ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in line with statutory
requirements, industry best practice, and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and
monitor health and safety procedures and policies across scaffolding
operations.
Conduct regular site
inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and resolving potential hazards.
Provide guidance and training to operatives, supervisors, and management teams to ensure full compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain records of incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions, and lead investigations when required.
Liaise with external bodies such as the HSE, clients, and principal contractors regarding safety matters.
Ensure the organisation stays up to date with legislative changes and industry standards.
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the workforce.
Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the scaffolding or access industry.
Strong knowledge of working at height regulations and scaffolding safety requirements (TG20, SG4, etc.).
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
