Our East Midlands based clients are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join them in a full time and permanent role. This role requires a Senior Project Manager with a wealth of experience (ideally 10 years +) and knowledge from the Design, Heritage or Attractions sector to work with high profile clients in delivering interesting and exciting visitor experiences throughout the UK and Worldwide.
This role will mainly focus on more UK and European projects and the Senior Project Manager will be the link between the bidding, design and delivery of each project both large and small of varying budgets and durations.
The Senior Project Manager must have a strong work ethic and background in project or design management and a proven track record of the development or fit-out of heritage sites, museums, leisure, retail or other visitor-attraction related projects. Ideally someone with a sound knowledge of building/ contractual legislation and ideally and understanding of delivering projects within a local authority or equivalent.

Skills and Experience
* Proven experience (10 years minimum) in the design, attractions or fabrication industries with the ability to concurrently manage large scale and duration projects, at various UK or global locations.
* Offer excellent financial and resource management skills, scheduling and wider strategic thinking to ensure that projects are developed and delivered in the most effective manner.
* Be proficient in the management of both internal resources and wider design team / subconsultant team members.
* Be a collaborative team player working with in-house design teams and external consultants in a proactive and positive manner.
* You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and MS Projects with a solid understanding of PM methodologies.
* Understand the requirements to support pitching and new business activities through the development of project fees, indicative budget costings, project management related methodologies and work schedules.
* Be familiar with design processes, including RIBA design stages.
* Have a good understanding of product / procurement / contracts (including JCT and NEC).
* Awareness of H & S / CDM / Building Regulations / Statutory approvals / relevant sustainability and accessibility guidelines for the heritage and museum sectors.
* Awareness of sector-relevant funding processes (including the Heritage Fund – NLHF, Failte Ireland and Arts Council in the UK) and relevant project requirements
* Have good written and verbal communication skills
* Able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
* Bring close attention to detail and accuracy
* Eager and fast learner to accrue new skill sets
* Adopt a proactive can-do attitude to complex challenges
