Qualifications:

* An applicable degree in construction or a related field, either finished or ongoing and or highly experienced in a similar role.

* A minimum of five years' experience as an Estimator with a principal / regional contractor in the UK.

* Key Responsibilities:

* Examine tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare precise, detailed estimates.

* Arrange sub-contract and supplier packages, including take-offs, and liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to address queries.

* Organise and carry out site visits, communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.

* Evaluate cost factors, such as production time, materials, equipment, and labour expenses, to optimise profitability.

* Cooperate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to ensure project success.

* Review sub-contractor and supplier quotes to meet pricing requirements.

* Offer cost-effective, value-engineered suggestions and submit tenders.

* Transfer successful projects to the construction team without a hitch.

* Skills/Experience:

* Adept with Excel and familiarity with estimating software (preferred).

* Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet stringent deadlines.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
