Estimator – Groundworks & RC Frame
Location: Central London
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 + Pension, Life Assurance, and Competitive Annual Leave
Fawkes & Reece is working in partnership with a long-established subcontractor to recruit a skilled Estimator to join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in pricing a steady pipeline of projects across Central London.

With over 30 years of industry experience, our client is a respected name in the Groundworks and RC Frame sector, delivering complex infrastructure, earthworks, and substructure packages for leading residential developers. The company will look at Quantity Surveyors looking to make a move into Estimating so is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their knowledge!
Role Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you'll be central to the tendering process and the financial planning of upcoming projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and RC frame packages
Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and risks
Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Commercial teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
Assisting with tender submissions and attending client meetings where necessary
Key Requirements:
3-5 years experience in estimating within construction, ideally in Groundworks or RC Frame OR 3-5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the same industry.
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines
Good communication and team collaboration skills
