They are currently seeking a Cost Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a background in construction or surveying to contribute to the financial and operational success of residential developments.
Role Overview
You will collaborate closely with site teams and tradespeople. Your role will involve accurate valuation of completed works, timesheet processing, and supporting cost management and estimating functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site visits to verify completed works and agree on variations with Site Managers and Trades
* Process and input timesheets into payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation
* Prepare take-offs for direct trade packages and assess individual rates
* Develop and validate piecework rates for trade employees
* Monitor and report on monthly overspends and budget variances
* Assist with budget setup for new site launches
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Background in Quantity Surveying with a relevant HNC qualification preferred
* Alternatively, experience in site management or a trade background with an interest in transitioning to a commercial role
* Strong understanding of construction practices across all trades
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Full UK driving license required
