A growing engineering and project delivery company is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support its busy operations team. Based at the Loughton office, you’ll play a key role in material sourcing, supplier coordination, and procurement process optimisation across a variety of high-value construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with sourcing, pricing, and procuring materials in coordination with project teams and suppliers.
* Use internal requisition systems to track orders, generate purchase documentation, and maintain procurement records.
* Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project timelines.
* Liaise with engineers and contractors to confirm material specifications and delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate records of invoices and support finance in tracking payments and cost codes.
* Support tendering and quotation processes, ensuring procurement data is accurate and accessible.
* Help streamline supply chain activities, identifying surplus materials and managing delivery logistics.
* Use project management and procurement software to support document control, safety records, and compliance monitoring.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth flow of procurement information and resources across departments.
Candidate Profile:
* GCSE-level education in Maths and English (minimum), with further education a plus.
* Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
* Some prior experience in a procurement, administrative, or construction support role is desirable.
* Clear communicator, proactive team player, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
* Keen attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, office-based environment with regular coordination across departments.
On Offer:
* £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE)
* Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
