Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Preconstruction design services remain an important part of D&B, requiring technically competent design professionals skilled in drawing up HVAC installations to meet the needs of the building. Born out of a philosophy that every building is a place to live, work or visit – suitable heating, ventilation and air conditioned environments are essential to promote comfort and affordability.
The company is keen to expand the design team and is hopeful to attract a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and design experience of HVAC systems in a wide variety of buildings.
Key criteria:
* Possess excellent understanding and experience in the HVAC Building Services Industry.
* Hold an HNC in Building Services Engineering as a minimum requirement.
* Strong communicator able to deal with the contractors, architects and developers to evaluate specific project requirements.
* Outline budget costings for projects.
* Production of working drawings and schematics to be sent to the CAD department for issue.
* Highly organized with a logical and disciplined approach to deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal skills in relation to meetings and report writing
* Proficiency in Windows 10 and AutoCAD 2020.
* Experience with electronic mail systems, Outlook, and the Internet.
* Carrying out estimates for tenders and contracts.
Additional Information
A company vehicle will be provided.
Working Hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday.
Annual holiday entitlement is 23 days plus 8 statutory days. Upon completion of 5 years continuous service an additional 5 days holiday is awarded
