Estimator
Jobsworth Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our client based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to analyse data effectively to provide precise estimates that support our operational goals.
Salary- From £35,000 to £45,000 Dependent on experience, Plus 10% car allowance and pension.
Hours- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Location- Glasgow
Duties
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects by analysing blueprints, specifications, and other related documents.
* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
* Conduct thorough market research to obtain pricing information for materials, labour, and other project-related costs.
* Monitor and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential savings and efficiencies.
* Review and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or unforeseen circumstances.
* Prepare reports and presentations summarising estimates for management review.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimation processes.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
* Must hold an NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations.
* Must have Flat Roof Estimating Experience
* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Familiarity with cost control principles is essential; experience in implementing cost-saving measures is advantageous.
* A relevant degree or qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
