Senior Electrical Project Manager
Client: Our client is a nationally renowned M&E Contractor who turnover in excess of £250M. With numerous offices throughout the country their client base ranges from end users to large main contractors, including: Kier, Morgan Sindall, Wates and Carillion. They specialise in technically challenging projects within the Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Residential and R&D sectors. Following the appointment on a major project in London, they are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager for their operations team.
Role: Senior Electrical Project Manager – London – £400-£500 per day CIS
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £25M M&E package within their own discipline, reporting into a Project Director. The project is new build commercial block. Key to this role is managing the project; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Tender review/validation
* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
* Technical submittals
* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
* Value Engineering where applicable
* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
* Health & Safety management (RAMs)
* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
* Management of variations
* Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
* Overseeing commissioning stages
* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
* Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment
* Experience working in the commercial sector
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £20M within your own discipline
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Wates, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace
