Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Flexible (£65 – £75k plus package, depending on experience)

Location: East Kent

Job Description: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our construction projects. This is a permanent role that includes both surveying and some procurment duties. You will be working on exciting projects within a motivated commercial team to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare cost estimates and budgets for commercial new build projects.

* Manage and administer construction contracts.

* Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual terms.

* Prepare and submit regular financial reports.

* Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best prices.

* Assess and manage project risks.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project success.

* Perform buying duties, including sourcing and purchasing materials and services.

Requirements:

* Commercial experience and a Surveying qualification would be ideal

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, project management tools).

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
