Bennett & Game are proud to be working with a long-established specialist in bespoke glazing and architectural metalwork solutions, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. With over 40 years of heritage and a £7-10 million turnover, this company is a key player in delivering high-end, tailor-made glass and steelwork installations for commercial, industrial, and bespoke residential clients across the UK.

Following continued growth and demand for their services, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to help formalise their internal costing systems and support project delivery from tender to final account. This is a newly created role and offers excellent exposure to high-spec projects and direct collaboration with senior leadership.

Estimator Salary & Benefits

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)
28 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays

Estimator Job Overview

Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for bespoke glazing and architectural metalwork projects
Develop internal pricing systems, cost templates, and maintain supplier pricing databases
Support live projects by tracking cost variations, omissions, and scope changes
Assist with monthly and final valuations for ongoing projects, ensuring accurate cost reporting
Liaise with Directors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project pricing aligns with commercial expectations
Attend occasional site visits across the UK to support pre-construction and delivery planning (travel covered)

Estimator Job Requirements

Proven experience in project estimating or quantity surveying within a bespoke construction setting (e.g. glazing, aluminium façades, or architectural steelwork)
Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage cost/margin expectations across multiple projects
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet skills
Confident reading and interpreting architectural drawings and technical specifications
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment
Willingness to travel nationwide for occasional site meetings (primarily via train)
