Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join a Tier 1 main contractor, supporting the West Midlands and South West Building Unit. You'll play a key role in securing high-profile projects by leading bids from opportunity identification through to submission, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling, client-focused proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage strategically important project and framework bids

Develop bid strategies, win themes, and manage bid programmes

Coordinate bid teams and act as the main point of contact for clients and design teams

Analyse tender documentation and allocate appropriate resources

Lead tender reviews and report progress to senior leadership

Identify and mitigate risk, propose alternative solutions

Input into construction methodology, programming, and planning

Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, tailored bid submissions

About You:

Proven experience in bid management within the construction industry

Background working with main contractors (Tier 1 or 2 preferred)

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple bids concurrently

Innovative, solution-focused mindset with a creative approach to proposal development

Understanding of work winning strategies and how to translate them into compelling submissions
