Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Van + Fuel CardThe Role:
As a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive electrical maintenance services across a range of commercial properties. You will primarily focus on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment within commercial properties.
Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification of electrical issues, including power distribution, lighting systems, control panels, and associated plant.
Carry out electrical testing and inspection, including EICRs, PAT testing, and minor works certification, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
Undertake electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications as required, from small works to larger projects.
Work independently to manage a dynamic workload, prioritising urgent tasks and effectively planning scheduled maintenance visits.
Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and contractors, providing clear communication and professional service.
Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Complete accurate and timely documentation, including service reports, risk assessments, and permits to work.
Provide technical support and guidance as needed, occasionally assisting other trades.About You:
Electrically Qualified: Hold relevant electrical qualifications, including:
City & Guilds 2360/2330/2365 (Levels 2 & 3) – essential
City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) – essential
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent (e.g., 2391-52) – desirable
PAT Testing certification – highly desirable
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Mobile Electrical Engineer within a commercial maintenance environment.
Technical Acumen: Strong fault-finding abilities across diverse electrical systems.
Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence essential.
Self-Motivated: Able to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
