Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Location: Southwark, SE London
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum

We are currently collaborating with a well-established main contractor with a £25 million turnover, offering a wide range of services including social housing refurbishment, heritage projects, new build, repairs, and maintenance. With over 30 years in the industry, the company has focused on delivering quality rather than chasing rapid turnover, reinforced by continuous reinvestment. Their client base includes local authorities, social housing providers, government agencies, historic estates, and education departments.

Role Overview
We are seeking a professionally qualified Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to independently manage individual contracts around £2 million each. Ideally, you will have experience within Social Housing Retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage contracts from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Collaborate with project teams to monitor costs and assess risks.

*

Prepare cost reports, valuations, and manage subcontractor payments.

Requirements:

Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.

*

Experience managing contracts circa £2 million.

*

Experience in Social Housing Retrofit is highly desirable.

*

Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
