Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum plus car allowance and additional benefits

About the Role:
My client are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic project delivery team, focusing on large-scale construction projects across the industrial and mission-critical sectors. You will play a pivotal role in the commercial management of high-value developments, including data centres, logistics and distribution hubs, and advanced manufacturing facilities, with individual project values of up to £100 million.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle
* Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages, procurement strategies, and contractual documentation
* Conduct value engineering and risk analysis to drive commercial efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings
* Monitor project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with client expectations and financial targets
* Lead change control processes, including the assessment and valuation of variations
* Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and detailed cost reports for stakeholders
* Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and procurement professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry regulations, and company procedures
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior surveyors and commercial staff
Skills & Experience Required:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline
* Proven track record delivering complex construction projects valued between £10M and £100M
* Experience working on industrial builds such as data centres, distribution centres, and manufacturing facilities
* In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contract including NEC and JCT
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office tools
* Professional membership of RICS (or working towards chartership) is highly desirable
