About the Role:

My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join their construction team. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the design process on a range of construction projects, ensuring seamless communication between internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality and timely design outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate the development and integration of architectural, structural, and MEP designs across all project stages.

* Facilitate communication between design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve design issues.

* Ensure that design information is compliant with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.

* Manage and maintain the design documentation process, including drawing registers, RFIs, and design change tracking.

* Attend design meetings and workshops, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

* Support project planning by integrating design milestones into the overall construction schedule.

* Monitor and manage design deliverables to ensure they meet quality, time, and cost expectations.

* Assist with value engineering and constructability reviews.

* Liaise with procurement teams to align design outputs with subcontractor and supplier requirements.

* Identify and escalate risks and conflicts related to design to the appropriate parties.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* 2+ years of experience in design coordination or a similar role within the construction industry.

* Strong understanding of construction processes, technical design, and building regulations.

* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Office.

* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

* Experience working on [residential/commercial/infrastructure] projects.

* Familiarity with BIM workflows and ISO 19650 standards.

* Knowledge of contract types such as D&B (Design and Build) or JCT/NEC forms.
