Principal Designer

Opportunity to join a central London based commercial architecture studio as a Principal Designer Manager of building regulations. This is a key role in the business, focused on supporting project directors to manage appointments, project compliance and ensure excellence in technical delivery across all RIBA work stages.

Key Responsibilities include

* Supporting the Project Directors in preparing and managing client appointments, ensuring appropriate scopes, terms, and responsibilities are in place.

* Staying up to date with relevant UK building legislation, statutory requirements, and industry accreditations.

* Monitoring and reporting on project performance.

* Leading regular technical reviews to ensure design quality, compliance, and constructability across all stages.

* Attend site to support project delivery, resolve on-site issues and maintain quality control during construction stages.

* Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of PDBR ensuring that all regulatory obligations under the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations are being met throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Significant experience in the architectural or design management experience

* Extensive knowledge of UK building regulations, RIBA plan of work and architectural appointment protocols.

* Professional registration with ARB, RIBA, CIAT and/or working towards PDBR accreditation
