Facilities Management Mechanical Contracts Engineer/Supervisor
FirstFix Recruitment are looking on behalf of one of our clients, who are an established M&E contractor based in Nottinghamshire for a FM Mechanical Contracts Engineer/Supervisor to be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and small projects across our client's sites nationwide.
Key responsibilities
Service delivery:
* Conduct site surveys to determine the required work to produce detailed estimates and creating tender documents.
* Assist in the management/supervision of the mechanical engineers and monitoring their performance.
* Plan & manage the delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance services ensuring they are in compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
* Allocate resources effectively to meet the clients needs.
* regularly updating the client and reporting to the department manager.
Project management:
* Develop, manage and submit project plans, budgets, quotes and schedules for maintenance small projects.
* procurement of materials and equipment.
* Monitoring the progression of projects and ensuring that all are completed to the required standard and within budget.
Compliance and Safety:
* Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies
* Working with the Health and Safety manager to create risk assessment reports (RAMs) and to conduct site inspections.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and project documentation.
* Manage and maintain all required certifications and training for yourself and the site team.
Essential skills and experience
* Past experience in facilities management, with a understanding and quoting of PPM, reactive maintenance, and small projects.
* Technical knowledge of building services, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
* Excellent project management with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and building regulations.
* Proficiency in using FM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid UK driving license.
Desirable skills and experience
* Relevant qualifications in Facilities management or in a similar field.
* Commercial gas qualification.
Salary and benefits
* A competitive salary of £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
