Senior Architect – Education Sector – Coventry (Hybrid) – £55,000–£65,000
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading, award-winning provider of sustainable modular buildings with a strong presence in the education, commercial, and leisure sectors. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, this progressive organisation is seeking a talented Senior Architect / Technologist to join their multidisciplinary design team, based in the Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of design and delivery within the Education and MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) space—working across high-impact projects, from concept through to completion, with the full support of an in-house technical and operational team.
The Role
As a Senior Architect / Technologist, you’ll take the lead on major education sector projects—particularly those aligned with Department for Education (DfE) frameworks. You’ll manage the end-to-end design process, collaborate with internal teams, and help shape sustainable spaces that enhance learning environments.
You’ll report directly to the Technical Director and work as part of an established, forward-thinking team that values quality design, environmental responsibility, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For

ARB-registered Architect or CIAT-chartered Technologist with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.

Proven track record delivering education sector projects to DfE standards; commercial and leisure sector experience a bonus.
*
Strong BIM Level 2 knowledge and proficiency with 3D design software.
*
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
*
Interest in sustainability, passive design principles, and experience with timber frame construction or Passivhaus standards is highly desirable.
*
Confident user of tools like Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, Bluebeam, NBS/Uniclass.
Key Responsibilities
*
Take ownership of architectural design phases aligned with RIBA Plan of Work.
*
Deliver compliant, innovative solutions within tight environmental and regulatory frameworks.
*
Coordinate pre-construction documentation, material selection, and value-engineering.
*
Mentor junior architectural staff and collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and leadership teams.
*
Lead planning, building regulations, and statutory submissions.
