Your new role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working on new build housing schemes in the Liverpool area. You will play a crucial role in managing costs, budgets, and commercial risk across multiple projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to work on high-volume housing developments and progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing all commercial aspects of multiple residential groundworks and infrastructure projects.
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations.
Procurement of subcontractors and materials.
Monitoring project progress, measuring completed works, and submitting interim valuations.
Negotiating and resolving contractual issues with clients and subcontractors.
Preparing and presenting cost reports to senior management.
Assisting with tender submissions and final account agreements.
Ensuring that projects are completed within budget and aligned with client expectations.
Working collaboratively with site teams and external stakeholders.
What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the new build housing or civil engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of groundworks and infrastructure packages.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating or surveying software.
A full UK driving licence.
HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
