We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy regional contractor in Bristol. The business has been established in the region for circa 5 years, and operates out of several other offices across the country. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including social housing, education, healthcare and commercial valuing up to £15mil. Projects are typically administered via JCT forms of contract and are a mix of competitive and negotiated tenders.

As a result of continued project wins in the region, they're now looking to bring in an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing an upcoming scheme through the PCSA period and then onto site. You will be reporting into the Commercial Manager and will likely have an Assistant Quantity Surveyor reporting into you.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
Oversee the project's procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:

Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
Ideally have experience working as commercial lead
Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT
Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute throughout the South of England.
