Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview
My Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building refurbishment projects, from e.g. £5k repairs to £4m major works schemes, ensuring that they are completed within budget and to expected profit margins. This role requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering all aspects of construction and materials.
* Monitor project expenditures and provide regular reports on financial performance.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of new projects.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
* Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
* Implement effective cost control measures to optimise project budgets.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
* Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as necessary.
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Qualifications
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
* Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
* Proficiency in relevant software applications for quantity surveying and cost management.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a results driven environment.
