We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a high-profile life sciences scheme in Oxford. The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the mechanical packages on a large-scale life sciences facility. You’ll work closely with the design team, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure successful delivery of the mechanical works, maintaining quality, programme, and budget targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate the mechanical installation and commissioning process

*

Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications

*

Lead mechanical design development in collaboration with consultants and in-house teams

*

Ensure health & safety standards are upheld across the site

*

Report progress to the Project Director and attend client meetings

*

Ensure handover is completed smoothly and all QA/QC documentation is in place

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale building projects

*

Background working for Tier 1 contractors or reputable M&E contractors

*

Experience delivering projects in complex sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, or data centres is highly desirable

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, project programming, and subcontractor management

*

Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
