I'm currently representing a well-established and fast-growing contractor based in Harlow, known for delivering high-quality projects across the fit-out, refurbishment, and construction sectors. They’re looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the addition of an Assistant Estimator.
This role offers the chance to work with a highly experienced commercial team on a broad range of projects, from commercial and education to healthcare and industrial. The business has a strong reputation for innovation, attention to detail, and delivering exceptional results.
Role Overview:
As Assistant Estimator, you'll play a key role in supporting the tendering process across multiple project types. Working closely with the Estimating and Pre-Construction team, you’ll be involved in:
* Preparing cost estimates and tender documentation
* Analysing drawings, specifications, and scope of works
* Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations
* Supporting the transition from tender to project delivery
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience within the fit-out or refurbishment sector preferred
* Open to candidates from wider construction backgrounds
* Strong commercial awareness and numerical accuracy
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; any experience with estimating software is a bonus
* Based within easy reach of Harlow, as this is an office-based role
