Estimating Manager

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team, working on a range of exciting projects within the building envelope sector. You’ll be responsible for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission, applying a high level of care, detail, and professionalism throughout.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts and develop your skills further through internal mentoring and external training courses.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare tenders, estimates, and cost plans to meet client deadlines
Review technical submittals and explore alternative or value-engineering options
Interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Create cost sheets, carry out quantity take-offs, and complete project BOQs
Submit final project estimates with all supporting documentation
Build relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
Identify value engineering opportunities to keep bids competitive
Manage your workload to meet internal and client deadlines
Communicate tender progress and status with clients
Lead project handover presentations
Maintain accurate records of suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
Collaborate with the design team to identify and resolve any issues
Work closely with quantity surveyors to keep projects cost-effective
Assist the Design Director and Procurement Team with handovers
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the building envelope industry
Strong numerical and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Able to manage multiple deadlines and maintain a high standard of work
A proactive team player with a strong desire to succeed
