Technical Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

Are you a detail-driven technical expert with a passion for process, compliance, and quality? We’re seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical integrity of our operations in the renewables sector, with a particular focus on ensuring full regulatory compliance, maintaining robust systems, and driving process excellence.
The Role
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in regulated environments and understands the importance of getting the details right. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our quality management systems, accreditations, and compliance with industry standards across a range of renewable technologies, including solar, heating, ventilation, and insulation.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the compliance lead and administrative nominee for multiple renewable technologies
*
Own and maintain all accreditations (MCS, PAS 2030, ISO9001) and ensure audit readiness
*
Manage and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO9001
*
Conduct root cause analysis and manage incident investigations with detailed reporting and follow-up
*
Ensure full adherence to legal, regulatory, and health & safety standards
*
Collaborate with site teams and project managers to embed compliance into day-to-day operations
*
Monitor and enforce supply chain compliance and product quality
*
Prepare and attend technical assessments, pre-contract reviews, and site audits
*
Stay up-to-date with legislation, regulatory changes, and best practices in the renewables space
What You’ll Bring
*
Proven experience in renewable energy technologies (preferably heating or solar)
*
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and ISO9001 systems
*
Experience as an electrical Qualified Supervisor
*
Exceptional attention to detail and process management skills
*
Strong communication, reporting, and influencing capabilities
*
Ability to work independently, with a structured and proactive mindset
*
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Extras
*
Understanding of MCS, PAS 2030, and ECO4 requirements
*
Experience in retrofit and sustainable housing initiatives
*
Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Heating Engineering
