Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a fast-paced, professional consultancy based in Hertfordshire. Working alongside a Director and an experienced team, the successful Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of diverse, high-profile retail fit-out and multi-site rollout projects across the UK.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will take ownership of multiple live projects from inception through to completion, ensuring successful delivery across programme, cost and quality benchmarks. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Creating scope of works and detailed programmes

Coordinating project communication between clients, contractors and consultants

Leading project meetings both remotely and on-site

Managing risk registers, critical path analysis, and team workloads

Tracking progress, reporting budget and timeline updates, and providing clear client reporting

Maintaining strong client relationships through consistent engagement and updates

This is a client-facing role requiring confidence, leadership, and an ability to problem-solve under pressure. The Project Manager will also mentor junior staff where appropriate and contribute to continuous team improvement.

The Project Manager

The ideal Project Manager will have:

A construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management)

Experience delivering multiple projects within a consultancy or professional practice

Commercial awareness and a firm grasp of contract administration

Proficiency with drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies

Solid understanding of health & safety legislation

Strong Excel skills and competence across MS Office

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Chartership support is provided, and candidates on the APC pathway are encouraged to apply.
