Building Surveyor
A client of mine, a long-established and award-winning multi-disciplinary consultancy, are looking to speak with an ambitious Building Surveyor to support the growth of their Building Surveying offering across their regional offices – including a strong presence in the East Midlands.

The Building Surveyor Role
The successful Building Surveyor will play a pivotal role in a growing Building Surveying function, working on a range of commercial and educational schemes, and delivering key services such as:
Building condition surveys
Maintenance and capital improvement advice
Preparing specifications, drawings and schedules of work
Contract administration and project delivery
Managing multi-site capital works programmes
Supporting clients with technical and strategic advice
Working closely with both internal design teams and external stakeholders
The role offers genuine variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work across the full life cycle of projects, with clear progression into more senior positions as the team expands.
The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications & Experience:
BSc in Building Surveying or related field (or qualified by experience)
At least 5 years' relevant experience within a similar consultancy or client-side environment
Strong practical understanding of commercial buildings and property
Ideally, experience within the education sector (not essential)
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to manage competing deadlines
Proficient in AutoCAD and standard Microsoft Office applications
A full UK driving licence
