Mechanical Estimator

Our client, a renowned provider of comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical services in the construction sector, is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team. Based in Wolverhampton, this is a full-time, permanent position within the estimation department. With over 45 years of industry experience, our client delivers top-notch services across various sectors, including Data Centre, Industrial, Logistics, Healthcare, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the tender folder is correctly maintained.
Review all tender documents before starting an estimate, addressing any discrepancies between specifications, drawings, and tender summaries.
Record and submit all Requests for Information (RFIs) in the appropriate documentation.
Prepare estimates in line with the exact tender summary provided.
List any assumptions, clarifications, value engineering, and conditions.
Submit tenders and update SharePoint with all costs.
Document details on the management system.
Follow up on tenders and record updates on SharePoint.
Participate in departmental, company, and external meetings.
Stay updated with industry standards.
Develop skills in line with agreed training plans.
Use Ireland and UK terms and conditions when submitting tenders.
Attend Tender Handover Meetings for won projects.

Job Requirements:

Experience in estimating within the building services sector.
Strong mechanical and estimating skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Initiative and adherence to best practices.
Collaborative abilities with the wider estimating team and other departments.
