Technical Manager

We are currently looking for a Technical Manager based in Kent – this role requires someone with experience working within civils, utilities or drainage. Initial contract basis for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Manage the design and technical aspects civils and drainage surrounding a residential development from land acquisition through to completion.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team of technical coordinators, engineers, and external consultants.
Design Management: Oversee the preparation and approval of architectural and engineering designs, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with planning authorities, utility providers, and internal departments (e.g., commercial, construction, and sales).
Problem Solving: Resolve technical challenges and ensure timely delivery of design information to support build programs.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong background in architecture, civil engineering, or construction-related disciplines.
Proven experience in civils, infrastructure, utilities or drainage, ideally within a housebuilding / residential environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and planning documents.
