HR Manager

THE ROLE
The HR Manager will work with the operational senior leadership team to provide solutions to employee challenges and continue to build a positive forward-thinking environment and build HR credibility at all levels.
Supporting the HR team and taking them along for the journey, the HR Manager will lead, develop and inspire the HR team members whilst continuing to build strong relationships, mentor and support key operational stakeholders across the business.
The role covers all areas of day-to-day HR covering employee relations, policies, GDPR, performance management, absence management, working with Unions, TUPE, redundancy, Tribunals, settlement agreements, appeal hearings, Talent management, succession, training, conducting grievance, disciplinaries, ER (complex casework), working on HR projects and initiatives, wellbeing, developing and embedding HR admin management processes, data management and compliancy.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified.
3 – 5 years operational HR generalist experience (ideally in blue/white collar environments).
Worked at HRBP or HRM for at least 1 – 2 years (in blue/white collar environment).
Previous experience of unionised working environments (union exposure).
Experience in leading and managing an HR team (demonstrating successfully leading and mentoring).
UpToDate knowledge of employment law.
Strong ER background.
Experience carrying out grievance, disciplinaries, redundancies, performance management.
Data management processes.
Excellent communication, written and verbal skills.
Good IT skills, spreadsheets, data / report writing.
Strong leadership skills, good business acumen.
Experience of working with operational stakeholders.
Strong operational HR generalist background experience (manufacturing, FMCG, service driven focused businesses).

Salary £57,000 plus benefits
Hybrid working (3 days on site 2 home based)
