Senior Health & Safety Advisor

Role Overview:

As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and practices across multiple sites. You will work closely with operational teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure full legal compliance and promote a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide competent and professional health and safety advice to site teams and senior management.

* Develop, review, and implement Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

* Conduct regular site audits and inspections, reporting findings and ensuring action plans are followed up.

* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

* Monitor compliance with CDM regulations and other statutory requirements.

* Deliver H&S training and toolbox talks as required.

* Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior leadership.

* Liaise with external bodies including the HSE and local authorities.

Requirements:

* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential).

* Chartered or Graduate Membership of IOSH (desirable).

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in construction, utilities, or heavy industry.

* Proven experience managing health & safety across multiple sites or projects.

* Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and best practice.

* Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across Kent.
