Estimator

Excellent opportunity for a Estimator with main contractor experience in Greater London. £80000 – £95000 plus package .

Our client is a main contractor specialising in commercial and residential refurbishments and new builds as well as projects in the Leisure industry from £100k to £20m.

Due to continued success and growth they are currently looking to recruit an Estimator into the the Commercial team.

Main Purpose of the Role: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed, and competitive tenders within deadlines. You will work closely with the pre-construction team, maintain good relationships with prospective clients and professionals, and support the company's growth in line with our Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inspect and analyse tender documentation to identify business implications.

* Provide detailed “take-off” and Bill of Quantities (BQ).

* Work on both traditional Plan and Specification and Design and Build Contracts.

* Oversee the quote analysis comparison and make selections for inclusion in priced tenders.

* Conduct site inspections, record notes, and take photographs for tender pricing.

* Prepare tender build-ups and participate in tender review meetings.

* Collate tender information and complete written reports for handover meetings.

* Participate in pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients.

* Provide support to other estimators and assist in the selection of materials and sub-contractors.

* Ensure tenders are delivered on time with the assistance of the Marketing and Admin Departments.

* Prepare and present monthly reports on tenders submitted and their outcomes.

* Mentor technical trainees within the estimating department.

Candidate Requirements:

* Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry.

* Strong analytical and numerical skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
