The Opportunity:

Due to a period of sustained growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, taking on increasing responsibility for the day-to-day commercial management of their diverse projects. While the QS focuses on strategic reporting, you will be integral to the hands-on project delivery, ensuring financial control and efficiency from inception to completion.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate in Quantity Surveying or an individual with 1-2 years of experience looking for more direct project involvement and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of estimates and cost plans.
Managing day-to-day project finances and cost control.
Identifying and issuing early warning notices in a timely manner.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly valuations and applications for payment.
Procurement of subcontractors and materials.
Measurement and valuation of works in progress.
Assisting with the preparation of final accounts.
Maintaining accurate commercial records.
Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and the internal operational teams.What We're Looking For:

A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.
Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the civils, utilities, or highways sector is advantageous but not essential.
A strong desire to learn and develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and "can-do" attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
A valid UK driving licence.What's on Offer:
