Framework Commissioning Manager
We’re looking for a Framework Commissioning Manager to join our client a trusted delivery partner for water clients across the UK—from AMP3 to AMP7—successfully delivering over £2bn of assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Thames Water, and Scottish Water.
The successful individual will be an experienced, technically confident leader with deep knowledge of the water sector and MEICA systems. Your strength lies in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving under pressure.
You will join a dynamic team supporting the Wessex Water AMP8 programme, based initially in Dorchester with travel required across the Wessex patch. You’ll be a critical figure in driving the successful delivery of MEICA installation and commissioning activities across multiple projects, with values ranging from £1m to £40m.
You will lead with a "Design to Commission & Takeover" mindset—ensuring every phase, from design to final handover, delivers value, quality, and safety.
As a Framework Commissioning Manager, you will:
* Lead commissioning across AMP8 projects, from early design input through to final handover.
* Plan and manage MEICA activities ensuring efficiency, safety, and performance.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
* Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans and quality records.
* Oversee and coordinate testing, FATs, snagging, and final handover processes.
* Ensure compliance with standards including WIMES, BS7671, and DSEAR.
* Appoint and manage Authorised Person Electrical (APE) roles within project teams.
* Mentor and develop commissioning and project teams across the framework.
Our client requires a Framework Commissioning Manager with:
* Proven track record in leading MEICA & commissioning in water infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of water treatment processes and electrical/mechanical systems.
* Expertise in managing multi-site project teams and subcontractors.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
* HNC or higher in an engineering discipline.
* CSCS or ECS card (relevant discipline).
* EUSR National Water Hygiene Card.
* SMSTS (preferred) or SSSTS (minimum).
* BS7671 – 18th Edition (Required).
* COMPEX and PROFIBUS (Desirable).
* First Aid at Work (Desirable).
