Civil Supervisor

Time 4 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a temporary Civil Supervisor for one weeks work on a solar farm in Chelmsford – this could continue This is a great opportunity working a highly reputable family run business who specialise in Top Tier- Solar Cable Installation and renewable energy projects
The role of Civil Supervisor to work on a Solar Farm is to start Monday 16th June 2025 for one week – but could continue for the very long term for the right candidate-
As Civil Supervisor you will be working alongside a main Solar Farm contractor who specialises in Renewable Energy and will be based on a solar farm working on a groundworks package with M&E components – which will including bulk earthworks and trenches. Due to the remote location and nature of the work you must be prepared to get dirty!!
As Civil Supervisor it is not vital you have previously worked on a solar farm – although you MUST have worked on Civils projects including digging trenches or utilities for cable installation.
In your role you will be responsible for groundworks operations, including personnel safety, oversee daily work activities, managing multiple subcontractors, and communicating with the management team.
In addition, the site supervisor is responsible for establishing site and individual goals, adhering to the site budget, including disciplinary actions, annual reviews and act as role model in field environment to ensure all procedures are followed as required.
Essential requirements for this role:
* Previous experience working on a solar farm is preferable but not essential
* Must have Previous Civil Site Supervisor experience for this role !!
* SMSTS
* First Aid certificate.
* CSCS
* M&E experience will be an advantage
* Previous experience working in civils, groundworks, deep drainage roads and trenches
* Experience in a supervisory capacity
* Some computer experience required, creating spreadsheets and reports using MS Office packages
