Project Manager (Mechanical)
Project Manager (Mechanically Biased) | £65,000 – £80,000 | London | Permanent
We’re working with a long-established building services contractor who are on the lookout for mechanically biased Project Managers to join their London operations.
You will obviously know the rhythm of a site and have the technical expertise to challenge design, the commercial awareness to manage change with confidence and the people skills to keep clients, consultants and subcontractors moving in the right direction.
On this one, we really need somebody who has delivered low-carbon, decarbonisation or energy-focused schemes and knows what it takes to make them work – from ASHPs and heat networks to high-efficiency systems, metering and smart commissioning.
These are technically demanding jobs that need a Project Manager who’s comfortable navigating new systems, tighter regs and increasingly ambitious client expectations.
You will be given the chance to work independently but with comprehensive support from a business that believes in structured project delivery, strong safety culture and the value of collaboration.
What you’ll need:
* A mechanical background in building services – ideally with a few years in project management
* Experience managing M&E packages in a contracting environment
* A strong track record delivering decarbonisation or low-carbon retrofit projects
* SMSTS and relevant CSCS
* The confidence to lead from the front, make decisions, and build strong relationships on site and with clients
* A calm, consistent approach when things get pressured (which they will, from time to time)
The salary on offer is going to be around £65,000 – £85,000 with a package to match and a clear route through the ranks for the right person.
