Site Agent – £55K- £65K + package
We are collaborating with a leading national contractor renowned for its operations across water, power, rail, and energy sectors. Having recently secured a prestigious 5-year MEICA framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, they are seeking a Mechanical Site Agent to oversee multi-disciplined site teams on mechanical-biased projects, incorporating elements of electrical and civil works. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the installation of process equipment, MCC panels, and pipework within clean and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Oversight: Lead and manage the on-site mechanical works, ensuring the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) systems.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including method statements, risk assessments, inspection test plans (ITPs), and progress reports.
* Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any site-related issues promptly.
* Compliance & Safety: Uphold a strong safety culture by enforcing site safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
* Proven experience in overseeing mechanical installations within the water or utilities sector.
* Familiarity with MEICA systems and processes in water treatment environments.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, including SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Desirable Attributes:
* Knowledge of WIMES (Water Industry Management & Information System) desirable.
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
* Proficiency in managing multi-disciplinary interfaces on complex projects
