Our client longstanding Bristol-based painting team continues to grow, and we are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit commercial team following a number of internal promotions. Specialising in painting, decorating, and planned refurbishment works, the Bristol team serves the local Southwest region with a focus on residential, public sector, defence, commercial, and education projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will handle tendering, estimating, and on-site measurement. You'll work on a mix of frameworks and high-profile contracts across housing, defence, commercial, and education sectors. Your main duties will include:
Preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders, identifying risks and proposing mitigation.
Managing cost value reconciliations, highlighting risks and opportunities for effective contract planning.
Collaborating with the Contracts Manager on productivity targets and labour incentives.
Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to manage variations and contract progress.
Reviewing weekly site reports to ensure accurate cost data (labour rates, budgets, quality, and safety).Requirements:
Proven experience in managing projects from tender to final account.
Ability to manage projects up to £2 million annually.
Experience with Schedule of Rates (SORs).
A background in painting, refurbishment, or construction (preferably).
